Artist's Statement

I am a painter of memory and imagination, fashioning the particulars of this world and highlighting the wonder and mystery it contains. My paintings translate miracles, and that they are still possible. I paint with the colors of my heart; bright, vivid, sometimes with subtle variation. My style is quick and complete, heavy on the idea and pushing it with the paint; texture, line, and color. It all carries the purpose that dreams are still possible and wonder is still alive.

Short Bio

Jessie Lynn graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with highest honors, a BFA in Fine Art, and a concentration in painting; she also studied watercolor in the Provence region of France. Born in Pittsburgh, P.A., she now lives in West Virginia
--close to Washington D.C. -- with her husband and daughter.
